Ringing in the new year with candlelit yoga, champagne, and ending with a dance on the beach I take time now to pray and be grateful for all 2014 gave me.
Beginning my year off with a one way ticket to Austria for a job led me to my journey of doing yoga on the Charles bridge in Prague, falling in love with Berlin, canoeing in Lake Bled, turning 20 and celebrating my two decades on beautiful Mother Earth in Greece having soul moments atop a cliff next to a lighthouse where I promptly came to the conclusion my job no longer served me. I quit my job, bought a one way ticket to Milan moved in with friends who quickly became family. Drove a fiat across Italy, jumped off a cliff, and began my one way ticket spree across one end of Europe to the other. From my moments bicycling in Budapest to falling in love with my Swedish heritage. I climbed through the waterfalls and snow to dance atop Trolltunga in Norway, balanced on Kjeragbolten in the rain. Found myself in two seas at once in Skagen, Denmark. Fell in love with the art in Amsterdam, reunited with my mum and sister to relax in lake Como and catch some sun in the French Riviera before I promptly embarked on my film acting course in London where I met some absolutely brilliant and kind souls, all of whom I have so much gratitude and so much joy in my heart for. After a brief trip to celebrate my friends celebration of love at their wedding in Poland and my month of living in Chelsea and spending my days bicycling through South Kensington and running through Hyde park, I got on a flight to Bulgaria where I swam in the Black Sea, hopped on a bus to Romania where I marveled in the beautiful architecture. Caught a flight to Malta where I explored from one side of the island to the other, swam in the blue grotto, and caught up on my vitamin D. I returned back to Milan just in time for fashion week, spent time out on fashion night with friends, took a short trip to Claviere where I climbed the longest tibetan bridge in the world, and with a heart full of memories and pure gratitude I caught a flight back to America. Once back on American soil, I moved to Malibu and completed my yoga teacher training. In celebration of completing the course and passing, I climbed up half dome in Yosemite. A few days later I drove from San Diego to Seattle, stopping along the way to catch up with old friends and explore Portland and the beauty of Oregon. I popped over to Vancouver, stood before the Snoqualmie falls, and danced in the rain before I drove back to Southern California. As the holidays rolled around I made a short trip up to fresno to pick up my friend, we made a day trip to Sequoia national park and were captivated by the winter wonderland we saw and indulged in even some yoga in the snow, found some joy in holding a headstand for some time in the snow covers dock over semi frozen Hume Lake. Enjoyed a joyous and blessed holiday with family and friends. Having so much gratitude as I reminisce over such a beautiful and wondrous year. I fell in love with so many places, had so many friends turn into family, and truly found a deep sense of gratitude for this beautiful gift we all have, this life. Happy New Year all! Looking forward to the beauty of the unknown, 2015 here I come! xx
